What is Code 128?
A dense linear barcode with three code sets. Code Set C packs pairs of digits efficiently, while Sets A and B cover control characters and printable ASCII. GS1-128 is the GS1 application profile of Code 128.
How it is structured
Quiet zone, Start A/B/C, data codewords with optional code-set switches, a modulo-103 checksum, stop pattern, and final bar.
Where it is used
Shipping, logistics, warehousing, product identification, healthcare, and GS1-128 labels.
