What is Data Matrix?

A compact square or rectangular matrix barcode identified by its solid L-shaped finder pattern and alternating timing borders. ECC 200 is the current form and uses Reed–Solomon error correction.

How it is structured

One or more data regions, each bounded by a solid L finder and alternating clock tracks. Encoded codewords are protected by Reed–Solomon error correction.

Where it is used

Direct part marking, electronics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, and small industrial components.
