What is Industrial 2 of 5?

An older non-interleaved member of the 2-of-5 family. Each digit is encoded in the bars while the intervening spaces carry no data, so it is less dense than Interleaved 2 of 5.

How it is structured

Start pattern, numeric characters made from five bars with exactly two wide bars, uniform separating spaces, optional check digit, and stop pattern.

Where it is used

Legacy warehouse, photofinishing, ticketing, and industrial identification systems.
