What is MaxiCode?
A fixed-size matrix barcode with hexagonal modules arranged around a central bullseye. It was designed for fast reading on packages moving through automated sortation.
How it is structured
A 30-row by 33-column hexagonal grid surrounds a three-ring finder. Structured carrier data and payload codewords use Reed–Solomon error correction.
Where it is used
UPS shipping labels, parcel routing, transport, and high-speed conveyor sorting.
