Overview
Wiliot is building what they call "ambient IoT" – battery-free Bluetooth sensor tags that harvest energy from ambient radio waves. Unlike traditional RFID, Wiliot tags communicate via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), meaning they can be read by standard smartphones and BLE infrastructure without specialised RFID readers.
