Overview

The GS1 version of the UHF RFID air interface protocol. Technically aligned with ISO 18000-63, but published by GS1 and widely referenced in the RFID industry. Defines the singulation protocol, memory structure, and tag features like Impinj Monza, NXP UCODE, etc.

Why it matters for RFID

The industry-standard name for UHF RFID tag communication. When someone says "Gen2 tag", they mean a tag conforming to this standard.
