What is it?

Rugged hard tags are built for the harshest environments: outdoor asset yards, mining, oil and gas, military, and construction. They are typically encapsulated in ABS, polycarbonate, or potted in epoxy, designed to withstand impacts, chemicals, UV exposure, pressure washing, and extreme temperatures. These are the tanks of the RFID world.

How it works

An RFID inlay is mounted on a tuned substrate and fully encapsulated in a rigid housing. The housing protects against mechanical impact, water ingress, chemicals, and UV degradation. Mounting options include screws, rivets, cable ties, adhesive, or welding. Premium models include additional features like tamper detection or integrated sensors.
